This week's Tune for Tuesday, "Rivers in the Desert" as covered by Lollia and Sleeping Forest, is a great cover of an already fantastic song, originating from a wonderful game whose themes are just as prevalent now, if not more so, as when the original version of said game was first released. Let's all be like Persona 5's Phantom Thieves of Hearts and stand up to corruption and injustice!
This week’s delayed Tune for Tuesday, "Face My Fears" as performed by AmaLee, is not only a fantastic cover of an amazing song from one super enjoyable game, but a piece of music I just think more people need to hear, now more than ever. Don’t deny the darkness around you, but don’t miss the various sources of light all around us and in the distance as well. And above all, don’t forget that every step forward will always be a step closer to home.
This week's Tune for Tuesday, "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" as performed by AmaLee, is an amazing cover of an iconic opening from a legendary anime, one that I finally finished a few weeks ago. I hope you all enjoy this amazing song!
This week's absurdly delayed Tune for Tuesday, "America" from West Side Story, is a brilliant song from a play which is sadly all too relevant, even today. Regardless, I hope you all enjoy!
This week's Tune for Tuesday, "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?" as performed by Bing Crosby, is a powerful number considered by many to be the theme of a sad point in history, yet it remains timeless and relevant in far too many ways. I first heard this piece in a history class ten years ago, back-to-back with a song seen as a theme for the Roaring Twenties. This class was led by the same teacher who introduced me to the idea of Tune for Tuesday and inspired me to do my own take on the concept. For me to select and share it through said Tune for Tuesdays has been a long time coming, and after unexpectedly hearing the anthem of The Great Depression at Lyrics & Lyricists last week, realizing within days that I knew the whole song by heart, and deciding to perform it myself at an open mic this coming, I decided the time had finally come to showcase this incredible classic.
This week's quite late Tune for Tuesday, "Kass' Theme" as performed by Mr.ACCORDION, is in honor of an incredibly and addictive game I finally completed earlier this week: The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild! I hope you all enjoy!
This week's Tune for Tuesday, "Shinshu Plains" from Okami, is in honor of a game that is proof the medium's boundless potential as an art form. Don't just take my word for it, though. Go and experience this beautiful game for yourselves!
This week's Tune for Tuesday, "You're a Mean King" from Brawl in the Family, is just a cute little number in the spirit of the season. Happy Holidays, everyone!
This week’s INSANELY late Tune for Tuesday, “Lavender Town” as performed by Smooth McGroove, is an amazing cover of an iconic song among old-school Pokemon fans. Hope you all enjoy this haunting piece of music!
This week's Tune for Tuesday (the first in far too long, and even more so for here on Newgrounds), "Gospel of Dismay" by DAGames, is a catchy little number, one that I discovered some time ago by chance and would introduce me to the fascinating world of Bendy and the Ink Machine!
